I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas where I still reside with my wife and two dogs, affectionately known as “the boys”. I graduated from both Texas Christian University and the Art Institute of Phoenix where I pursued my dream of being an artist.
I have been drawing from the time I was able to hold a pencil, a crayon, or anything else that would make a mark. My first interest was in cowboys. I always wanted to be a cowboy (still do), and drawing them occupied my early years, imagining gun fights and heists, good guys and bad guys, six shooters and horses. And then it happened…
In May of 1977, everything changed! Star Wars debuted on the big screen, and my six-year-old mind was blown! Perhaps its appeal was the similarities it held with the old TV westerns. After all, it was just another western…in space…with the same good guys and bad guys, and gun fights with…blasters? Cowboys turned into Stormtroopers, and horses became X-Wings, but the fuse had been lit. From that point forward (and to this day), Star Wars has been a huge part of my life and creative endeavors.
In addition to Star Wars fan art, I also enjoy creating silly, weird, creepy creatures and monsters, usually sketching in pencil or drawing in pen and ink. I also venture into the world of digital art on occasion as well as other traditional media. I have worked on a variety of projects ranging from logo design to character illustration and beyond.
